Meet Liliana
Before I qualified as a Solution Focused Hypnotherapist and Yoga Teacher, I spent 25 years working in the Financial Services sector mostly in the centre of Edinburgh, with my last position being in Management. At the age of 38 I wasn’t feeling fulfilled and I wanted to change my career into one where I could help people feel better. After a particularly stressful time in my life, I decided I had to make a change so I left my job to focus on myself and find my new vocation - but at that point I didn’t know what I was going to do!
Not being someone that enjoys the gym, I was grateful to have found a yoga class which worked for me physically and mentally. After going on a yoga retreat on the Isle of Mull I knew I had found my answer. This led me to qualify as a Hatha Yoga Teacher in 2018 with Yoga Scotland and then to study Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (SFH) with the Clifton Practice. Yoga and Hypnotherapy blend perfectly together, having a natural positive effect on relieving stress and anxiety in the body and mind.
By managing my anxiety, sleep deprivation and avoiding stress, I started to feel better - yoga, relaxation and positive interactions with people were the key! My Serotonin hormones were naturally restored!
I enjoy doing a variety of different things including volunteering at my local community centre. I deliver Well-being sessions to groups which include Mindfulness, breathing techniques, seated yoga and guided visualisation/relaxation. From March to October I help run Yoga Retreats on the beautiful Isle of Mull.
I like spending time with friends and family but I equally enjoy my own company too! I also like to cycle or walk in beautiful nature spots on the outskirts of the city and try to do this every week.
You will find me being just who I am, no airs or graces, I have a light-hearted approach and I have found laughter to be a life saver - laughing releases endorphins - another feel good hormone!
