My name is Liliana. I am a Hatha Yoga Instructor and a Solution Focused Hypnotherapist.
Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (SFH) is a forward thinking and positive form of psychotherapy (talking therapy) which is combined with hypnosis (focused, guided, visual relaxation).
I aim to help you identify and find solutions to change troubling thoughts, emotions and behaviours.
Life gives us many challenges and I am here to listen and help you through them with a gentle compassionate approach.
Yoga is also extremely beneficial for physical and mental health. I have been teaching for several years.
I will give you breathing and relaxation techniques to calm your sympathetic nervous system (fight/flight/freeze) so you can kick start your parasympathetic (rest and digest) system.
SFH and/or Yoga will change your response to stressful situations and you will come away feeling calmer and more able to cope with life situations.

Hypnosis does not involve me putting you to sleep, it is not mind control and nothing like stage hypnosis, you will be in a state of focused attention whilst being deeply relaxed.
Welcome to Indigo Hypnotherapy, my name is Liliana and I live in Edinburgh.
Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (SFH) is all about achieving positive change and is based on modern, current neuro-scientific research of how the brain works. It is a safe, forward thinking form of psychotherapy combined with hypnosis.
SFH is a highly effective way to reduce anxiety, low mood or stress. The hypnosis is a light trance state, familiar to how you feel just before you drift off to sleep. Brain waves move into Alpha/Theta states and then we are in the frequency of the subconscious mind where we are more receptive to explore new and beneficial ways of working with any unhelpful habits, old beliefs or behaviours. We tap into creative problem solving and create solutions to the problem. During this time you will be present, aware, alert, yet relaxed!
So why the name Indigo? Being a yoga instructor as well as a Solution Focused Hypnotherapist, I have an interest in the Chakras which are spinning vortexes of energy in the subtle body. The colour Indigo is associated with the 6th Chakra, the third eye also known as Ajna Chakra, the command centre and place of wisdom! It is generally thought that 5% of our mind is conscious while 95% is subconscious! The third eye is closely connected to the subconscious mind.
Everyone responds differently to therapy. While Solution Focused Hypnotherapy is highly effective, it could take several sessions to work through the process which requires commitment and dedication. You will notice a difference quickly with improved quality of sleep and a more positive mind-set.
