What a session looks like:
Therapy sessions combine psychotherapy with hypnosis and take place safely and effectively over Zoom.
What happens in a session:
Each session starts with a free initial consultation, this allows us to find out what it is you want to achieve and give you an opportunity to get to know me a little too, it’s important you feel comfortable with me. I will explain how your brain works, why we feel the way we do, and what we can do about it. I will also give you a free download to listen to every night to begin the process of relaxation and recovery.

We start with some careful questioning, we do not go over the past, we concentrate on the present! We then move to the psychotherapy side to help you find future solutions.
We will identify the small steps you can take to find the solutions and work on the positive changes required to get you to where you want to be and how you want to feel.
The talking session ends with ‘trance’ which will be like having a lovely day dream. I aim to leave you feeling relaxed, refreshed and happier. This type of hypnosis/trance is nothing like stage hypnosis. It is done very simply through visualisation, allowing you to focus on the positive aspects in your life. During this time the unconscious mind is more alert and can focus on helpful suggestions and thoughts. You will be aware and in control while remaining in a blissful state of relaxation.
As humans we naturally go in and out of trance states many times during the day, perhaps when you are doing the dishes or brushing your teeth, driving a car or watching TV. The trance will have a nourishing effect on your nervous system. The fight/flight/freeze area of your brain, often referred to as the emotional brain, settles into equilibrium or homeostasis once more. Blood pressure, breathing rate and hormone flow return to normal levels resulting in feeling calm, in control and ready to take on life in a much more positive way!
